Pirates of the Caribbean was a ride at Disneyland before it was ever a movie. It was the last ride that Walt Disney personally worked on and it opened just after his death. It opened in 1967 if I remember correctly. There are a few scenes from the ride that are in the movies and they have added a few scenes from the movie to the ride. It's one of the best rides at Disneyland. It's classic.
